I have always loved art. I was the person who enjoyed presentations because I was able to make a poster or some type of presentation using my hidden talent.
I took art art through high school and 3 in college. In no way am I an expert nor do I pretend to be. And, are those with a degree experts? No way! We all learn daily. How many times do you catch yourself saying, 'You learn something new everyday.' Believe it or not, more often than not. I call bullshit on those who beg to differ.
1) Be Open-Minded. What you see in all things is a piece of art in and of itself.
2) Look up from your electronics. Instead of focusing on your device, focus on your surroundings. What do you feel? Hear? Smell?
3) Organize what you do have. After cleaning up my room I was confined to while healing, I had 3 bins full of paints. I have bought supplies thinking...someday I will need these....without realizing. I have all I need. It only takes a pen and scrap piece of paper.
4) Start now! There is no better time. We do not know what tomorrow brings.
Honestly, it has crossed my mind where I 'could have been' 20 years ago (I am human). That does not matter. I am a successful artist. How is that possible? It's possible because I took a chance, still do and will continue to learn and play.
You are are your biggest block. Time to knock it down!
