'Why go through life if you aren't going to challenge yourself?'
I decided to bite the bullet and challenge myself, again. I was so motivated, and it helped with account accountability. I was not able to paint every day and may not (more than likely) be able to next month. The sole purpose of a challenge is to keep us motivated, otherwise we have a tendency to make excuses and stay busy doing other things, making excuse and not following through.
When we are ready to step up to the plate, we can avoid distractions by staying focused. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
1) Have fun! Turn on the music and dance, doodle often, sing, challenge others. The challenges I signed up for were given to me by other artists.
2) Switch it up! If you are stuck or find you are struggling to write, draw or paint, find something else. I switched painting styles. I am now working on abstract painting. There isn't a right way to do it. What matters are the actions! We tend to talk about things and without actually doing them.
3) Be Kind! No sense in beating ourselves up. We have a tendency to work towards perfection, when there is no such thing. We are human. We are always learning. We will often give up and say mean things to ourselves.
BE love, BE joy, BE YOU!
